I have tried to use the BAT with an Active Directory-integrated CallManager system. When I try to use the BAT to create both a new user and phone, the phone gets created but the user creation fails. If I create the user in Active Directory and then do the phone/user import, the phone is successfully import but is not associated with the previously created user. Is there a way to use the BAT to associate phones with existing AD users?

Hi,
You can set a registry-key to allow creation of users from the callmanager.
(see the installation-guide) Then this should work.

The key is hkey_local_machine\software\cisco systems inc.\directory configuration\diraccess. Should be set to true to allow updates from ccmadmin.
Thank you,

Does this mean that the user can pre-exist in AD or does this allow users to
be added to AD via BAT/CM?
Also, what if the phones already existing? Can I use BAT to do just
device association?

Try BAT 4.3(1). This version seems to be the only one that supports itChris. BTW, it is also 4.3(06). They are actually the same version
