I have a customer whose sound cuts out for about a second while the other party hears several beep tones. This happens about 1 minute into the call and occurs once every 30 seconds to 2 minutes during the call. Nothing occurred during Telnet session during that moment. What could be happening?
Are there any packets drops anywhere in the voice path? When the problem happens, press the "i" button twice on the IP phone, and see if the IP phone is transmitting and receiving packets at that instant.
