Best way to build a large 2 server unity system?

I have a customer that needs 4000 mailboxes, but has
too much traffic volume to put all of them on one Unity VM
server. So, we sold them two VM servers, each with 48
ports. We would like to build one virtual system if that
is possible (ie. calls spread across the servers but serving
all users).

Can we put all the message store on one server, and
use the other one just for the 48 ports of access?
Do we have to split the users across separate servers
like we did with 2.4.6?
Any suggestions?

You won't be able to build one great giant Unity, but you could network the Unity's together. What this will give you is the ability for callers to auto-attendant (release) transfer to subscribers on either Unity server regardless of which server they were in.

Subscribers will still have a "home" server and they will have to call that particular server to retrieve messages. For more information on networking Unity's together, check out Jeff's monster networking doc...
