Block calls based on ANI

folks,

one of our users has a special request. A sales company keeps calling his voice mail in the night with recorded message. He wants that number blocked, we are running 4.0(2a), and we have mgcp gateways, what would be the easiest way to block a certain number from the outside.

Thanks,

Re: Block calls based on ANI

If you have Unity voicemail you could configure a forwarded call routing rule that would key on the ANI to transfer the calls to an unassigned DN -- or wherever you want.

With MGCP I don't think there is a way to do it in the Call Manager, though you may be able to get the Telco to block the calls before they get to you.

As stated eariler CCM by itself will not provide this funcionallity. You can either run the calls throght Unity or CRA script and terminate at that end.

I believe you can set up a translation pattern and send the call directly to a fake destination that should solve it
