Bulk add translation and route patterns for Callmanager 4.2

Hi Guys,

Is there a quick and dirty way to bulk add a large number of translation patterns or route patterns without going through the CCM Admin pages?

I am going to check out the AXL api's and see, but was wondering if anyone had done it before and had any tips / tricks?

Would be so nice if you could just import a CSV :)

Cheers,

Tim.

Re: Bulk add translation and route patterns for Callmanager 4.2

Done some more research and checked out the AXL SOAP examples and docco etc.

I have tried a simple request just via telnet. Request and response below.

POST /CCMApi/AXL/V1/soapisapi.dll HTTP/1.0

Content-Type: text/xml

Authorization: Basic xxxx

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope"

xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema-instance"

xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema">

http://www.cisco.com/AXL/1.0" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.cisco.com/AXL/1.0 http://gkar.cisco.com/schema/axlsoap.xsd" xsi:type="XRequest" sequence="1234">

SEP001794FA5AD8

HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Content-Type: text/xml

Content-Length: 343

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="ISO-8859-1">

SOAP-ENV:Server

An unknown error occured on the server. Please try again later.

Unknown 5000 error message is below. I've checked the logs and traces etc and cant find anything so far.

Has anyone any idea as to what I am doing wrong?

Authorization and everything is ok, as I have tested this, and if I use a different string, i get the access denied message as expected.

Cheers,

Tim.

Re: Bulk add translation and route patterns for Callmanager 4.2

Hi Tim,

For SOAP you need to include host and content-length in the header, so I don't think you can use telnet....

this is a proper header:

POST /CCMApi/AXL/V1/soapisapi.dll

Host: :80

Authorization: Basic

Accept: text/*

Content-type: text/xml

Content-length: 372
