Just a question, I used the bulk utility to add a number to some users extensions. Unity does not recognize the new extension...I can do a search and find the old one, in the main screen it LISTS the new one, and in the transfer screen, it lists the new one, but unity does not recognize it in the AA or in teh user search screen. Am I waiting for exchange to sync or is there another problem?

Thanks

------------------------------
Michael Perbix
Lower Merion School District
Telecommunicatons Specialist
Hmmm... sounds like a resync problem on the surface but the cache will sync about every 10 minutes or so. Can you look in DOHPropTest on the call handlers collection for one of these subscriber's AVP_DTMF_ACCESS_ID values and see if it matches the old or the new extension?
Actually, even though it SAYS it knows that extension when you list the user, all I do is retype the extension then save and all is well. I had to touch each user anyway since the extension that the phone is transferring to is way different than the users personal extension.
Hmmm... that's odd. You shouldn't have to do that. I just tested it on my 2.4.6 build 102 box here and changing the extensions in bulk worked OK, addressing over the phone or looking up in the SA. Maybe some character's getting in there the TUI lookup filters don't like. Any details on the changes you made on the extensions (i.e. adding characters on the left/right, stripping etc...) so I can try to reproduce this?
I simply used the ADD NUMBER TO EXTENSION box, so if the extension was 1550. I added 5450 to make the extension 7000. In the User account it listed the new extension, however neither the phone nor the search saw it, still the old. BUT if I do a search by name in the directory handler it goes to the correct extension. I had to manually REENTER the extension then save it (even though nothing changed and all was well.

The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
