Bulk Utility

Is it possible to have a modified bulk utility that allows you to set a transfer option. I need to set the transfer to the users extension but need to put a , in front for the transfer to work. However the utility allows me to select to transfer directly to mail or to the users extension, what I need is the third option to allow me to use a variable like ,X to designate ,(user extension) or something. Any ideas?<br><br>------------------------------<br>Michael Perbix<br>Lower Merion School District<br>Telecommunicatons Specialist

Well... I could look at doing something like that... a "pre pend" and "post pend" field for the transfer extension would be possible. I could go wild and use something like the extension tab has now with lots of options for stripping, adding, modifying the value but I would think in the case of transfer a simple pre and post pend string field and allows any dialable character (0-9,*#) would suffice.

Let me work on it this weekend and see what I can do.

Thank you very much, worked as aadvertised, I was able to do all but 3 accounts that came up with a DOH error (20 attempt time out)...but I got 369 done in a matter of minutes 8-). Now the PDL to be associated with a given COS and I think I will be set...heheh

cool...

yes, I've submitted the feature request to limit access to specific DLs based on COS membership or DL membership, but I'm not holding my breath for the product folks to push it up the list. Be sure to ping your account team/SE to let them know you want the feature, that's the best way to get the product folks' attention.

Hey fellas..

If this is a CallManager integration, just get the latest TSP supported by you current Unity version. There's a reg setting in the AvSkinny section that has a value like "PreDigitDialDelay". That might not be the exact wording, but the setting will append a millisecond pause in front of digits dialed out (including digits dialed during transfers). If you set that, and restart Unity, you should be good.

OK... I just posted an updated version of BulkEdit out on the 3.0 Unity tools page on AnswerMonkey... version 3.0.89 will let you prepend dialable characters to the left and/or right of the transfer string as well as force it to the user's extension. The extension assignment is forced first before the pre/post-pend operation is executed if it's selected, of course.

This version of BulkEdit will work with 2.x versions of Unity, however I've only tested it with 2.4.6 build 102 and 135. If you have an older version of Unity be sure to test it on a few sample users first before making changes on your regular user base.

Let me know if it works out for you.

Excellent. I will look at it on Tuesday when I get back in teh office. I might even use Terminal services to look at it. I was just not looking forward to doing all my users. Can I set this in the COS so when I create users it happens autmatically?

Thanks. You guys are great.
