Bundle 4 FXO trunk!!!

We have like vic2-4FXO, which total 4 FXO ports. We use those ports as SRST, so basically you need to create a lot of dial-peer.

I know there is a way to trunk all the ports to one, so you can one dial-peer for Long Distance, one dial-peer for Local, etc.....

Can you guys take a look the config and point me out if I make a mistake.

voice-port 0/2/0

trunk-group TEST1 1

timeouts interdigit 4

connection plar opx 1111

caller-id enable

!

voice-port 0/2/1

trunk-group TEST1 2

timeouts interdigit 4

connection plar opx 1111

caller-id enable

!

voice-port 0/2/2

trunk-group TEST1 3

timeouts interdigit 4

connection plar opx 1111

caller-id enable

!

voice-port 0/2/3

trunk-group TEST1 4

timeouts interdigit 4

connection plar opx 1111

caller-id enable

!

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 91[2-8]..[2-8]......

trunk-group-label target TEST1

forward-digits 11

I read the documentation below:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t11/ftgwrepg.htm#wp1053215

However, it seems like I have to create voice translation rule, is that necessary??

Thanks

Ken

Re: Bundle 4 FXO trunk!!!

Ken, voice translation rules are not necessary. the only issue I see with your configuration is how you are applying the trunk group to the pots dial peer. I also am assuming you have a "trunk group TEST1" command in your router config to define the trunk group name.

the proper dial peer would be:

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 91[2-8]..[2-8]......

trunkgroup TEST1

forward-digits 11

Notice that you can assign multiple trunkgroups to a dialpeer by adding a preference digit to the end of the trunkgroup command but this is not required for your config.
