In my switch WS-C3524-PWR , i have a LOT of message :
Feb 28 10:05:10.982: %LINK-4-ERROR: FastEthernet0/4 is experiencing errors
When many message appear , the phone drop the call or when we hang up the handset no dial......
I dont have this problem with the 7940,7960 or 7910sw , because the speed is 100Mbs Full Duplex.... With the 7910 he work at 10Mb Half duplex and cause a lot of collision , Input Errors and Frame errors etc etc etc......
Ex:
5 minute output rate 6000 bits/sec, 9 packets/sec
394674 packets input, 174753356 bytes
Received 12831 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
48695 input errors, 0 CRC, 48695 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 watchdog, 12145 multicast
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
23381478 packets output, 2721655713 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 48030 collisions, 3 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 2928 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
thank you

Hi Bobby,
Have you tried hard coding your switch port with the 7910 to 10MB/Half Duplex?

I have the same problem.
There is not a solution........
the 7910 is a terrible (!) phone!
you can try to set a speed and mode on switch port.
