Call Forward in CME 3.3

Hello Exprest,

The Caller ID for the first and second inocming calls are displayed on the phone screen but as of the 3rd one the caller ID does not display on the screen. It just Beeps in the ear. I believe the reason is because I am forwading the 3rd and the following incoming calls to another line and the 3rd line and the following see the call as it is coming from the extension 2300 and not from outside. Is there any way to display all incoming calls even if they are forwarded. Here's the configuration for the Receptionist phone which has 6 lines:

ephone-dn 1 dual-line

number 2300

pickup-group ReceptionistNotAvailable

label Receptionist-1

name Receptionist-1

call-forward busy 2311

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

night-service bell

ephone-dn 111 dual-line

number 2311

label Receptionist-2

preference 1

call-forward busy 2312

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

!

!

ephone-dn 112 dual-line

number 2312

label Receptionist-3

preference 2

call-forward busy 2313

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

!

!

ephone-dn 113 dual-line

number 2313

label Receptionist-4

preference 3

call-forward busy 2314

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

!

!

ephone-dn 114 dual-line

number 2314

label Receptionist-5

preference 4

call-forward busy 2315

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

!

!

ephone-dn 115 dual-line

number 2315

label Receptionist-6

preference 5

call-forward busy 9998

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

Thanks,

Re: Call Forward in CME 3.3

First of all, your 'preference' and 'no huntstop' commands arn't doing anything right now. Since each of these ephone-dns have a different number, these two commands arn't being used.

I think I understand what you are trying to accomplish though, try this:

ephone-dn 1 dual-line

number 2300

pickup-group ReceptionistNotAvailable

label Receptionist-1

name Receptionist-1

call-forward busy 2300

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

night-service bell

ephone-dn 111 dual-line

number 2300

label Receptionist-2

preference 1

call-forward busy 2300

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

!

!

ephone-dn 112 dual-line

number 2300

label Receptionist-3

preference 2

call-forward busy 2300

call-forward noan 9998 timeout 20

no huntstop

!

...do that for each ephone-dn.

You also might need the 'huntstop channel' command in each of the ephone-dns. The huntstop channel command disables call hunting to the second channel of an ephone-dn if the first channel is busy or does not answer.

I don't have access to a lab to try this but it works in my mind ;-)

Let me know how it goes.

Dan,

It didn't work. The incoming calls are not displayed on the LCD screen.

Thanks,
