call handlers owned by dist lists end at failsafe

I have several department greetings that I am having trouble reaching. I can dial them through the aa and if I add a specific call routing rule to send them calls forwarded from a dummy phone they work. If I take the call routing rules out and just rely on the default call routing the call fails and routes to failsafe. This only happens when the call handlers are owned by a distribution list (any list)

. I change the owner to a subscriber things work as expected, without any special forwarding rules. DBWalker runs clean w/ 0 errors. The trouble seems to start with

I'm stumped and I'm pretty sure that I have had call handlers owned by PDL's before without incident.

Re: call handlers owned by dist lists end at failsafe

There is a defect filed against this. You can check it out here:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCeb59514

If you have a case open please have the engineer link the case to the defect. Also if it is important you should ask the engineer to request an engineering special from development. This sounds like something we should be able to correct in short order.

Thanks,

Keith
