Call log options for received calls

Could you tell me if it's possible to insert the 9 in the log information for received call, because if you want to dial it you have to modifie before you dial.

Thank you!

Re: Call log options for received calls

Hi,

Yes why not,

You need to do some manipulations with your CSS , Partition and Translation pattern

1. Create a prtition called PT_Incoming_Number

2. Create a call search space called CSS_incoming_Number and add PT_incoming_Number created above to it.

3.Create a translation pattern and put it in partition PT_Incoming_Number and Call serach space should b e the normal call search space used for your phoness.

4. check the calling party transformation and 9 to the prefix outgoing number box.

5. don't change anything in the transaltion pattern exceot those mentioned in 3 and 4 above

This way all incoming called number would match the none translation-pattern and a 9 is prefixed in front of the calling number.

Hope it helps

Re: Call log options for received calls

Re writing step 4

4. In the traslation pattern put the Internal numbering traslation pattern match say if you have incoming calls with 7 digit then use XXXXXXX as you pattern

5. check the calling party transformation and 9 to the prefix outgoing number box.

6. Called number mask use XXXXXXXXXX for ten digit incoming number or 1XXXXXXXXXX if the incoming number has a 1 etc.

7. Called number Transformation mask should be the same as the Translation pattern XXXXXXX.

8.Apply the Call search space created above in 2 to te incoming gateway Call serarch space entry.

X means pass the digit matched in those position hence you called number is maitaned as received but 9 is prepended in front of the calling number. After translation the call is router to the intended destination if the Call Search Space attached in step 2 permits.

Re: Call log options for received calls

Check out the Cisco Press Callmanager fundamentals book pg.136. It has a detailed explanation on how to configure this option.
