call manager 4.1(3)sr3a caller doesn't hear ringing

I have several phones that when called externally you hear dead air until someone picks up or call is transferred to voice mail. Internally you hear the ring. Some phones on the same server are set up the same way and work fine. If I delete and re-add phone I get same symptom.

What kind of a Gateway do you have ?? Is it MGCP or H323 and how is it connected to the telco ?? Do you have a PRI/CAS/FXO ??

I have cisco 3825s with PRIs running MGCP IOS version 12.3(11)T11

All DIDs point to the same PRI

Thanks for your help using this informaiton I was able to resolve my issue by adding the following:

dial-peer voice 100 voip

progress_ind setup enable 3

dial-peer voice 200 voip

progress_ind setup enable 3
