Call Manager Express 3.3 overlay issues

Hi,

Have an issue with ephone overlays, where the calls are not moving on to the other users that have a lower preference number, if the first ephone-dn is busy.

Example config:

ephone-dn 1 dual-line

number 3001

pickup-group 1

label Lyndsey - 3001

description Lyndsey

name Lyndsey

call-forward busy 3019

call-forward noan 3019 timeout 20

huntstop channel

no huntstop

ephone-dn 9 dual-line

number 3009

pickup-group 1

label Louise - 3009

description Louise

name Louise

call-forward busy 3019

call-forward noan 3019 timeout 20

huntstop channel

no huntstop

ephone-dn 2 dual-line

number 3002

pickup-group 1

label Chris

description Chris

name Chris

call-forward busy 3019

call-forward noan 3019 timeout 20

huntstop channel

no huntstop

ephone-dn 13 dual-line

number 3000

pickup-group 1

name Reception

preference 1

huntstop channel

no huntstop

ephone-dn 14 dual-line

number 3000

pickup-group 1

name Reception

preference 1

huntstop channel

no huntstop

ephone-dn 15 dual-line

number 3000

pickup-group 1

name Reception

preference 2

huntstop channel

no huntstop

ephone 1

ephone 9

The calls to 3000 go to the first two phones Lyndsey and Louise that have preference 1 but no calls go to the users that have preference 2 or above (not shown). When you call 3000 (externally or internally) and the first two phones are busy, the callers hears ringback but no phone rings.

The config looks ok to me,

Any ideas?

Cheers

Re: Call Manager Express 3.3 overlay issues

I would consider this a bug. Can you please provide us with a show ver and also debug ephone state.

Thanks!

Sorry I am unable to figure out what is going on. Might need more debugs.. I suggest you open a TAC case on this.

Re: Call Manager Express 3.3 overlay issues

As both 13 & 14 are overlayed on both phones, it shouldn't really matter if you set "preference 2" on 14 and "preference 3" for 15, because the phone that's not busy will ring anyway.

I would try that and see if that solves it!

Thanks for your reply,

In fact we are hitting bug id CSCsb52601 as per TAC and require to upgrade code to 12.4(04.04)T which is not avail until later this week.
