On call manager 3.3 is there a way to lock down or restrict calls .needed for comms lockdown procedure .1 group of phones needs to keep all access .but 2 group needs access till lockdown then they only need internal access .IS there a way of doing this without going through indiviual phones and changing calling search space (this method is to slow) Ive created a few device pools but this doent seem to work ..
Are you saying that normal conditions group 2 should always have access. But you want to be able to restrict this for a certain time at short notice?
Quickest way to do it with out of the box tools will be by using the Bulk Administration Tool.
Otherwise you could look at writing a little scripting / app to use the AXL SOAP interface.
Either way you would have to change CSS's but you would be doing it in bulk.
A messy way to do it, would be to have group 2 using different Route Lists for their outbound calls. You could then configure a dummy Route group that doesnt go anywhere. When you want to lock down the groups external access you could remove the real Route Group and substitute the dummy route group.
Dont know if that makes sense :) All depends how many sites and phones you are doing this for I guess.
