We have Cisco Call Manager version 3.0.11 and ART version 1.0.1 on MCS 7835 Platform.Now, we want to upgrade this whole infrastructure to Call Manager version 3.1.3a and ART 1.1.1.Could somebody suggest us with the procedure to go ahead on this?
When you download the software from cisco make sure you follow the readmefirst.pdf and follow their procedure. This will guide you through the upgrade to the new software. We went from 3.0(8a) to 3.2 - 3.1(3a) using this without any problems. Just back up your data and you should be fine.
If you have a 7835 make sure you follow the procedure to pull a drive and you should have a good backup. Also make sure you do a backup in case there is some problem with the spare driver you pulled out. I would recommend going to 3.0(12) before you go to 3.1(3a).
