call pickup group error - key is not active - CUCM9

Hi

I am using Cisco CUCM 9, I set up a call pick up group for a few phones, when I tried to pick it up when the other phone is ringing by pressing the Pickup button, it says " key is not active"

It should be just a simple setting to add the group to the device according to my understand... the pickup number is same partition as the directory number....

anywhere else I should check to resolve this issue?

note: setting access is enable on the phone

Thanks

Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Have you added the Pickup Group the DN? Browse to the Phone via Device > Phone and click on the phone, then click on the Directory Number and scroll down to Call Forward and Pickup Settings and select the appropriate group from the drop down menu. You will need to do this on all the phones you want in the pickup group, alternatively you can do this via BAT.

Rachel,

Are the calls being delivered to the phones via a hunt pilot?  If so, you also need to configure the Call Pickup Group within the Hunt Pilot.

(something else to check)

Thanks,
