Can anyone provide my a description of, or a white paper on, AVVID Call Processing? I am looking for a signalling flow and need to know at what point does CM drop out of a call. How does CM get Jitter and Delay statistics? Does it poll the call, or poll devices at completion of the call.
CallManager is never "in the middle" of voice traffic flows -- it signals endpoints to talk to each other directly. It collects jitter, delay and loss statistics from endpoints that support it after the call leg is torn down.
It optionally records these records for every call leg in its SQL database in the form of CMRs (Call Management Records), for later analysis and troubleshooting.
