Call Routing PRI

I have a client that has a centralized Callmanager but still want to retain each buildings main line presence to the outside world. They have a PRI and want to map the 3 main numbers to it and have the gateway or CallManager route the inbound calls to the appropriate destination.

example:

user on pstn calls 5262681 and the call gets routed to building 1 frontdesk ext 1000.

user on pstn calls 5269771 and the call gets routed to building 2 frontdesk ext 2000.

Can anyone help with some examples?

Re: Call Routing PRI

Create three dummy 7910 phones for the main numbers in Callmanager. Assign the phones the DID extensions. "Forward all" the DID extension to the frontdesk extension of corresponding buildings.

Hi -

This can be easily accomplished using translation patterns. Just set up a translation pattern that take the digits telco is sending you and trasnlate them to the appropriate extension.

Re: Call Routing PRI

Translation rules in the router will help you here.

Example:

rule 0 ^5262681 1000

rule 1 ^5269771 2000

You just have to make sure you translate the correct number that the PSTN sends you, you can check that by debugging and calling the number. Just apply the translation rule to the correct voice port where the PRI is and you should be fine.
