call transfer full consult

I have a problem with the call transfer full consult in cme v3.4 with 12.4(4)T IOS.

Between internal and/or external calls the call transfer it's configured with "transfer-system full-consult"

but operates like blind transfer.

What can I configure?

Make sure your lines are programmed as dualline for this to work.

Re: call transfer full consult

All the dn are configured as dualline

Re: call transfer full consult

I had this too when monitor buttons are used for the transfer.

Try the command

transfer-system full-consult dss

Good luck,

Thank you very much. This solves the problem.

Re: call transfer full consult

I'm happy that this helped you.

DSS stands for "direct station select", here some more info:

Consult Transfer Support for Direct Station Select

For CME 3.2 and later versions, consult transfers can take place during direct station select. The default behavior is a blind transfer. Direct station select is a functionality that allows phone users to transfer calls to idle monitor lines.

If you have dual-line configured only to be able to transfer but you don't want to have call waiting, you can configure...

ephone-dn x dual-line

huntstop channel

With huntstop channel, only 1 channel will be used for incoming calls, a second call gets busy.

If you have a dual-line phone configuration (see the "Configuring for a Secondary Dial Tone" section), you may want to keep incoming calls from hunting to the second channel if the first channel is busy or doesn't answer by using the channel keyword in the huntstop command. As show in Figure 5-1, this keeps the second channel free for call transfer, call waiting, or three-way conferencing.

Once things start to work with CME, it's much more fun to work with ;-)
