Caller ID for Outbound calls on MGCP gateway (6608)

We have two caller ID rangers:

381-3000

385-6000

The way I have set up Caller ID in the gatways is using the following field in the Gateway configuration:

"Caller ID DN 385XXXX" under outbound calls

The problem is all the calls from both 381-3000 and 385-6000 shows 385 prefix as caller ID.

How would I solve this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

You may need to configre the "External Phone Number Mask" on the Line configuration of the phone, 381XXXX or 385XXXX. Then change the G Claller ID config to XXXXXXX.

your suggession doesn't work, Caller ID still shows

3813000 which is the main number.

Thanks

T1-CAS or PRI? You won't get aything but billing number using T1-CAS. For PRI, the LEC must have the trunks set up to receive caller id and use it rather than the billing number for the trunk group.

Hi,

The first suggession should work if you checked the box "Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask" in the route pattern for PSTN access.

Otherwise, you can also create a second route pattern in a second partition and use the "Calling Party Transform Mask" to change your calling number on outside calls.

You choose with the phone's CSS that contains either the first or the second partition which calling number is displayed outside.

If you need more help, just ask !
