Caller ID from PSTN on 7960

I have been struggling to get the 7960 phones on this AVVID system to display Caller ID information for inbound calls from the PSTN. I am using a 2600 gateway with FXO-M1 modules, configured with MGCP to a call manager running v3.1(1). I have enabled Caller ID function on the gateway and verified the CO is sending caller ID info with a Caller ID POTS phone. I have also run debugs on the gateway and verified it has received the calling party’s info. Am I missing a step in this configuration?

I've had those kind of issues before and have usually ended up making the gateway h.323. If you go that route, make sure you check the the display IE delivery box in the gateway configuration. Other than that you probably need to check the caveats on the IOS version you are running.

Yes, the part you are missing is that caller name delivery for FXO-M1 is not supported using using MGCP signaling to the CallManager. You will need to use H.323. The feature has been requested but it not yet available.
