Re: Caller ID on FXO with MGCP

Caller ID is not supported with FXO ports when using MGCP. See the following link for details. You will need to change the port to H323 to utilize caller ID.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Re: Caller ID on FXO with MGCP

mgcp does not support callerID due to it does not have the facilities to pass this information.

you'll need to have an h323 gateway configured using those FXO ports if you require callerID.

Hi Abduljaleel,

I'm installing a callmanager with a voice gateway in Dubai, but I'm facing disconnection problems with FXO-v2 ports.

Can you provide me with the custom cptone you are using there?

I appreciate your help.

hi Abduljaleel,

it didn't work. I'm still facing the same disconnection problem.

Is there any other disonnect frequency and cadence in Dubai?

Thanks.

Re: Caller ID on FXO with MGCP

Hi,

I am facing the problem with Fxo disconnect supervision. My customer is having one pstn number number and 10 fxo lines for that single number.

Sometimes the call coming to this number is not getting into the plar number number configured but getting ringback tone to the person who is calling.

Some times its getting ringing on ip phone ,but when try to answer its getting disconnected.

Can you please provide me any working config for FXO port, freq, ring cadence

My customer is in dubai and using etisalat connection

thanks in advance

Re: Caller ID on FXO with MGCP

Abdul,

You have: Analog FXO + MGCP Gateway + CallManager. This is not supported. There is a bug for this. The workaround is to use H.323

Here is a snip from the below doc

'Caller ID does not work on FXO ports. This is because caller ID is not supported with FXO ports when configured for MGCP. Configure the gateway in H.323 mode instead'
