Calling ID sometimes not display on the IP phone, 6 PSTN line configured in one group to rotate the call for one main phone number, did "debug vpm signal" on gateway 1760, got the "caller ID receive failed" in the following log, what is the most like problem happened? Does this happen in the service provider side or the Callmanager?

Environment: CCM 4.0(3)SR1, Unity4.0(2a)

Thanks for any clue.

receiving caller-id should be configured in voice-port for your fxo module. depending on your IOS version, you may need to use "caller-id enable" and "caller-id alerting" and CPTONE, if you're not in US. Also, you may need to have VIC-2FXO-M1 or M2, if you're using VIC-2FXO modules as mainstream VIC-2FXO doesnt support caller-id... you may need to go for -M version, NM-HDA, or VIC2 modules.

Also, caller id on FXOs is not supported with MGCP - so need to use H323.

IOS "flash:c1700-k9o3sv8y7-mz.124-5a.bin"

Cisco 1760 (MPC860P) processor (revision 0x500) with 92622K/5682K bytes of memory.

1 FastEthernet interface

8 Voice FXO interfaces

32K bytes of NVRAM.

32768K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

using H323, "caller-id enable" configured, location is in Canada, I need check the VIC-2FXO modules version. I attached the config of the voice ports. Is there any problems in the configuration?

Thanks,

As long as I was informed, only VIC2 new cards support caller ID functionality. Strangely, I'm having this problem even using this type of card, so I see the debug message:

.Apr 11 21:07:45.695: [0/2/0] get_fxo_caller_id:Caller ID receive failed. parse

CallerIDString:no data.

If you, Richard, or anyone who found a way to configure caller id, please post it in here.

Thanks,
