Caller ID & Supervise Transfer

We are using unity to answer all incoming calls. When a subscriber settings are set for "release to switch", the ip phone will display the calling party's number and will show up correctly under received calls or missed calls.
When they are set for "supervise transfer" the phone displays the directory number of the port that unity transfers from.
Is this design??? We would like to use the supervise transfer features but want to receive calling party info on the ip phone as well. Is there any way to have unity pass on the digits that it gets from the gateway (in our case an AS5300) to the phone when using the supervise transfer features?

This is by design of the phone system. When performing a supervised transfer, Unity places the caller on hold and initiates a consultation call to the intended party. Unity is now the calling party for this second call leg and so Unity's extension will be presented to the callee by the phone system.
This is the way supervised transfers work, independent of who is performing the operation. Try performing a supervised transfer with your own phone and you'll see the same result.
