Caller ID with Unity

I have a question. WHenever a call comes in through unity I always get the Unity called ID info is there a way to have unity send the actuall caller ID info to the IP phones instead of the Untiy number. THanks

Re: Caller ID with Unity

Unity does not send any caller ID info to the phones. The phone system does this. When Unity initiates a transfer it has to establish a new call leg between it and the destination phone. The transferring Unity port will be the calling extension for this new leg. Typically, a phone system will update the display on the destination phone when the transfer is released. At this point you should get the actual caller ID. If you are using blind transfers, this will happen fairly quickly. If you are using supervised transfers, this will not happen until the phone is answered.
