Caller ID

I have multiple phones numbers pointing to a PRI. Customer in town A calls a different # then customer in Town B. Both numbers come to the one location. I would like to display text(Perferred) or the phone number they called on the phones, so the salesperson will know which town the customer is from on incoming calls.

One way to do this is with CTI Route Points. Setup Route Points for each incoming number and translate incoming calls to hit the proper route point. Give the DN of each route point an identifying name for Internal Caller ID. Make the Forward All number for this DN the DN of a phone or pilot point for a hunt group where your incoming calls should go. When a call comes in, you will see Forward (CallerID) for (Name You Put for Internal Caller ID for the Route Point DN). Hope this helps.
