Caller ID

Is is possible to pass the Caller ID information on when a caller selects an option in either a Call Handler or an AA? I have a group of about 10 people who have 3 digit extenstions and do not have a valid phone number. Since the only way to get the actual person is to go through a Call Handler or AA the caller id information is lost when the person gets the actual call. It shows the call coming from the voicemail system (5905005). Is there anyway to forward the caller id information to the called party?<br><br>

This is atually beyond the control of Unity. It's controlled by CallManager. What I have usually seen (as long as caller ID was gathered on the external call) is that if the Unity AA transfer was type release, then the recipient's phone would briefly see the extension of the transferring Unity port, and then see the number of the external caller. If the Unity AA transfer type is await-answer, then the recipent would see the number of the Unity transferring port until they answered the call and were connected to the external caller. At that time, the calling party ID would transition from the transferring Unity port to the external caller. Are you seeing something different?

You could try both types of transfers by replacing Unity with an IP phone (and direct an external call to the phone) and see what happens.
