Caller-name support on CME 3.3 / IOS 12.3T

Hi,

I just connected a 2800 series with IOS 12.3T11 to an Avaya PBX using BRI.

I noticed that the Avaya sends caller NAME information. Not only the calling number but also the calling name.

Cisco Phones display both, calling name and number when a call (originating from the PBX) comes in.

Can IOS also send the calling name when a call is delivered to the PBX so the Avaya users see the name of the calling user?

think, the calling name is also sent along with calling number in a CME, unless its blocked explicitly using the command "clid strip name", which removes the calling-party name from the CLID information being sent with VoIP calls. check out the following link for more information :
