caller number doesn't appear

i have a CALLMANAGER 4.1(2)and 1760 cisco router with 2 4-ports fxo modules. when an external call comes the caller number doesn't appear on the IP phone screen although the telephone lines have this feature enabled and caller number appears when connecting these lines directly to an analog telephone set. but this works well with internal calls. so please let me know if any configuration is needed on the callmanager or on the router.

your aid is highly appreciated

Re: caller number doesn't appear

What protocol do you use to control these GWs?

MGCP does not support Caller ID with FXO lines, so make sure you configure them as H.323!

Re: caller number doesn't appear

you are right, the protocol used is MGCP but it's not optional to make change it to H323.

on the callmanager when i specify the router type as 1760 the protocol is automatically choosen as MGCP.

so please are there any thing else that i can do?

i attached to you the router complete configuration hoping to help

thanks for ur help

Re: caller number doesn't appear

TO configure H.323 GW in CCM you cannot use the router model, but instead use H323 Gateway option from the drop down menu, there you either specify the DNS name or IP address.

On the GW itself you will need to create dial-peers to point to CCM and to the pots lines, for example lets say you have an FXO card in slot 1/0, then your config would look like this:

dial-peer voice 1 pots

connection plar opx 2000

destination-pattern 911

port 1/0

forward digits all

dial-peer voice 2 pots

destination-pattern 9[2-9]......

port 1/0

forward digits 7

dial-peer voice 3 pots

destination-pattern 91[2-9]..[2-9]......

port 1/0

forward digits 11

dial-peer voice 4 pots

destination-pattern 9011T

port 1/0

prefix 011

dial-peer voice 10 voip

session-target ipv4: 10.1.1.1

destination-pattern 2000

no vad

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
