Calling H323 client

Hi,

What is the correct configuration steps required to call an H323 client (ie, netmeeting) from an IP Phone/Softphone? and how do I configure the netmeeting to act like an extension?

Thanks!

Re: Calling H323 client

For a NetMeeting client, go to Add a New Device in the CallManager Administration, choose Phone, and then select H.323 Client.

The device name should be the name or IP address of the PC running NetMeeting. Add a line like normal. Also, you will probably need to check the MTP required box for the device in CallManager, as I believe that currently, NetMeeting still does not support the H.323 "Null Capabilities Set" which would be utilized by CallManager when the NetMeeting device gets put on hold, is transferred, parked, etc.

In NetMeeting, configure the H.323 gateway as the CallManager's IP address.

Obviously a static IP address is preferable if possible due to name -> IP address mapping changes with a dynamic IP address.
