Callmanager 3.2 & NM-HDA-FXS configuration for FAX

Hi All,

I'm using CCM 3.2(2c) and 3640 as a h.323 gateway, i intend to install

NM-HDA to connect few fax machines.

does anyone have some tips or configuration example for this scenario?

can these ports register to CCM?

if not, should i configure these numbers as a route pattern on the callmanager?

Hi,

Using H.323 to talk to the gateway will require you to use route pattern(s) to send calls to the ports.

Using MGCP would be preferable, in which case the port and DN configuration all takes place in CallManager Administration. Running 12.2(11)T or later, just configure ccm-manager config a.b.c.d listing the TFTP server, and then ccm-manager config and all the MGCP configuration will be done automatically, if you have already configured the device properly in CallManager Administration.
