CallManager 3.3.3 and Definity G3 integration - Best Practice?

I've followed some of the threads on the forums about the best ISDN switch type and configurations to use to integrate CallManager with a G3 via T1 PRI, but I don't feel like there is a general concensus of the best practices.

I am going to be integrating a CallManager cluster with an existing Definity G3 PBX via a T1 PRI connected on an NM-HDV card. The gateway is configured for H.323 (for interoperability with the existing VoIP network).

From the Interoperability Guide Cisco has, it sounds like I want to avoid 5ESS if I want to see Calling Party Name in both directions.

The end goal is to pass as much call information (Calling and Called Party names and numbers in both directions) as possible. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Jeff,

You are right. I think you are pointing out to the following document.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_mod/cis3600/sw_conf/pbx_int/36ldt1pr.pdf

And from my past experience, the primary-ni would be the best practice to go with. Hope this would help.

Hi Jeff,

i think the best practice is to integrate the callmanager with the definity over the clan board.

Via T1 pri you didin't see the Calling and Called Party names just the numbers.

Look at this link http://www1.avaya.com/enterprise/whitepapers/ip600cm2924.pdf

if you have questions, i will help you.

regards

chris
