CallManager 3.3 CDR on Subscriber

Hi,

I upgraded a CallManager from 3.1(4) to 3.3(2). Now the CDR database is present only on the Publisher and not on the Subscriber. How can I replicate the database?

If the Publisher is down for a failure is the Subscriber upgrading its CDR?

Can the ART retrives records from the Subscriber?

Thanks in advance

Giovanni

Hi Giovanni,

The CDR Database should only exist on the Publisher, which is also where the CDR application is installed. The subscriber should not have a CDR database. Replicating this database to the subscriber is not a supported configuration.

CDR records for phones registered to the subscriber are written to flat files on the subscriber. These files are then put on the publisher each minute by the Database Layer Service. Once on the publisher, the flat files are then either inserted into the CDR database by the CDR Insert Service, or kept in flat files, depending on the configuration. The flat files are kept in c:\program files\cisco\calldetail\cdr.

When the publisher is unavailable, the flat files will remain on the subscriber until the publisher becomes available.

Regards.

Thank you very much for your explanation.
