CallManager 3.3 using Gatekeepers

Hello. I honing my h323 skills here in prep for the voice lab. Anyway, I have a network with Core and Remote 2651xm routers (back to back t1 via WIC-1DSU cards) and a 2621 as a gatekeeper at each site. CCM is at the "core" site. Can someone post a config for the gatekeeper, and POTS 2651xm routers as well as discuss the necessary configs in CCM administration. I believe you gotta configure a "Gatekeeper", then a trunk, then route pattern pointing to that trunk, correct?

Anyway, I am plowing through this and just thought someone may be an expert at this already. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Re: CallManager 3.3 using Gatekeepers

Does your remote site fall within the CallManager cluster at Core site. If so, you cannot use Gatekeepeer in this scenario. For CAC, you have to use locations. If the remote site is a separate CCM cluster by itself, or is using CallManager Express, then you can proceed with the config I am posting. Here my remote site has CCME, and Core site has publisher and subscriber.

Gatekeeper Config:-

zone local core

zone local remote

zone prefix remote 4* gw-priority 10

zone prefix core 3* gw-priority 10

zone prefix core 3* gw-priority 9

gw-type-prefix 1#* default-technology

arq reject-unknown-prefix

bandwidth interzone zone core 32

bandwidth interzone zone remote 32

no shutdown

Remote with CCME:-

interface FastEthernet0/0.63

description Interface for CME IP Phones

encapsulation dot1Q 63

ip address

h323-gateway voip interface

h323-gateway voip id remote ipaddr 1718

h323-gateway voip h323-id cme

h323-gateway voip tech-prefix 1#

h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr

In Core CallManager:-

Your configuration steps were correct. Configure the trunk as a h225 Trunk.
