CallManager Backups and restoring after upgrade

Looking to upgrade from 3.2.2c to 3.3.3. In demoing the upgrade on some lab servers, I tried to restore the data from the 3.2 server on the newly built 3.3 server. I got the message from the back up system that " The callmanager archive appears to be version 3.2(2C), whereas the installed callmanager version installed is 3.3(3x). You may need to install callmanager version 3.2(2C) in order to restore this data."

Well, obviously, I don't want to reinstall an older version so how can i get the production data on the new systems?

I also noticed that on my 3.2 system, when i do a manual back up to a local directory, I do not have the files dbname.ini and backup.ini! whats up with that??

Thanks

Re: CallManager Backups and restoring after upgrade

Thats great help Geoff, thanks.

I still need to know why my production server does not have a recover directory and I cannot find the dbname.ini and backup.ini files.

Re: CallManager Backups and restoring after upgrade

do you have backup version 3.5.X or higher? The older versions did not create the folder you are asking about. That is in the documents as well.
