Callmanager Express

Can you have 2 routers on the same LAN running CME, one in a backup to the other, the same as CM has an active and backup CM?

Re: Callmanager Express

You can use HSRP between the two routers and then use the same IP address. Of course, the phones will need to re-register completely if one goes down but it's at least one level of redundancy.

Re: Callmanager Express

It would work internally but what about your PSTN connections. There is no way of splitting that for resilience!!

Re: Callmanager Express

AS long as you used a splitter it would work if you can gaurentee that all phones will stay registered to a single router. You may have some problems with incoming calls ringing to the correct router. The easiest would be to swing them manually, or have the phone company bring in backup trunks for the second.
