Callmanager TFTP Rate Limited???

we are running into an issue with remote sites hung off of a ccm server. With the larger phone firmware upgrades are taking a long time... We are often seeing tftp timeouts as especially when many phone all try to download the firmware all at once? What we have notices by testing tftp transfers via a pc is that our CCM servers are limiting the Tftp transfer to 5k a sec each. If we do the same transfer locally to the CCM servers the transfer goes 9000k sec? Can any one confirm this? Has any one seen any documentation from Cisco that they are indeed limiting the rate? I have tested this on three different clusters two running 4.13 and one running 4.2

Re: Callmanager TFTP Rate Limited???

Hi Jeff,

Cisco TFTP service supports RFC 2348

with a default blocksize of 512 bytes.

If it were possible to modify the amount of data per TFTP packet it would be a configurable Service Parameter for the Cisco TFTP server. But it doesn't exists.

You may start thinking in a Content engine in order to speed up TFTP traffic via HTTP.
