CallManager-Unity MWI Functionality

Question 1
If Unity is not able to light the lamp on an IP phone for some reason, will it try to light the lamp again at a later time? Is there a retry interval that Unity uses to check for MWI inconsistencies?

Question 2
If the MWI light is lit on an IP phone and the phone is rebooted, is Unity involved in lighting the lamp on the reboot? Or, does the CallManager hold the MWI information and present it to the phone during its boot process? Just curious.

Re: CallManager-Unity MWI Functionality

If Unity tries to dial the MWI DN, and it fails, Unity is not actually aware of the failure. It will try to dial the MWI on or off DN at a specific time for all phones if you configure 'Resynch All Message Waiting Indicators' on the switch page in Unity.

If the MWI light is lit on an IP phone and the phone or CallManager is rebooted, Unity is not involved in the lighting of the lamp. CallManager stores the state of the MWI lamp in SQL. The table it stores it in is 'numplan' and the row is 'tkLampBlinkRate_MessageWaiting'. The value '2' = On and '1' = off.
