Can a PRI be split

Folks,

We have a digital modem bank installed on a 3600 series router connected to PRI. With addition of call manager we would like to use the same PRI for call routing to the PSTN as well. My question is?

Can the PRI be split, so that we can connect some channels to the HDV with the MFT1 module and use that as a gateway to the PSTN.

If that is not possible, can the call manager use the digital bank's PRI to route calls to the PSTN, in that case, how would the router distintguish between a voice call and a modem call.

Thanks

Simple answer is NO.

V is for voice. If the interface doesn't have a V then it doesn't do voice, if the interface does have a V then it's pretty poor at Data. AS53XX excepted.
