Can an FXS/DID port be user bi directionally?

I am having a problem with getting my 1760V w/8FXS-DID's to behave how I want them to. 2 issues:

1. I can't seem to find a way to group voice ports somehow so I can add simple dial-peers that take an inbound call and route it to the first open/idle voice port. Is this possible? I found the trunk group command, but ti seems to have more to do with gatekeeper auth then local call routing.

2. When I make an inbound pots dial-peer on a fxs port it won't do outbound (fxs) operation it seems anymore. Is the port only going to act uni-directionally?

ANy ideas would be appreciated, (or maybe a link to somewhere I may have missed searching).
