Certainly someone else has asked this before??<br><br>I have several mailboxes that "came" with Unity - Example Admin, Example Subscriber and the Unity Messaging System - (our server name).<br><br>I would like to know if it's safe to hide these. I know I don't want to delete the Unity Messaging System mailbox because it's the one that is actually used to send the email - but can I hide these from the GAL? <br><br>I'm tired of my users asking me who the "Example Subscriber" is and what it's for.<br><br>Thanks,<br><br>ken<br><br>
I musta missed it the first time around... Sure, if you're running Unity 2.4.6 build 102 or later you can hide users (including the default objects and the messaging system account) from the address book no problem.
Be sure to make sure the registry settings to allow this are set if you've upgraded your system to 2.4.6 instead of installing it new. Check out this post for details:
