Do you know what is the password for LDAP DC Directory Manager? You can confirm that correct password is specified in Appadmin by logging into DCD

on Call Manager.

You can get into DCD by start>Programs>DCD Administration, select profile

(default) and then next. Enter User "Directory Manager" and your password. If that does not work,

Reset that password.

This is the same password you need to use in app admin. Make sure DCD service is running.

1.Extended Services CRA version with any SP/ ES details,

2.Directory: DC Directory or iPlanet or Active Directory integration.

Try this Tac Case Collection Tool entry:

seems like i do not know the right DC directory password, how can i reset it, i have 7 more servers in the cluster, would i have to reset it on all?

To change the DC directory password, do the following.

Start-->Run---REGEDIT

From there explore to..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CISCO Systems INC.\Directory Configuration

In there you will need to access these two files.

MGRPW and DCDMGRPW

Run this utility from the DOS command prompt.

C:\>cd dcdsrvr

C:\dcdsrvr>cd bin

C:\dcdsrvr\bin>passwordutils cisco

Encrypted Password: 0c0a000a2c -------------------These are the password values

Original Password: cisco Needed for the REGEDIT.

Decrypted Password: cisco

C:\dcdsrvr\bin>

You can either cut and paste the correct value in, or take note of the passwords and

proceed normally.

Many thanks for the response. The real password that I am using is cisco.

I made sure that the 2 fields in the registry show 0c0a000a2c.

But still when i try to login to the dc directory profile i get error , also i tried to follow the link you posted and reset the password that way, but that also gives me an error "invalid credidentials"

any help would be highly appreciated.

Hello NAVIN,

I am in the same situation, I change the passwd in the registry and restart the server.

But I get the same when I try to login in dc directory or use ccmpassword.

have you been able to solve the problem?

Regards.
