Can't dial from Corporate Directory number contains +

Hi,

I need help.

I can not dial from the Corporate Directory when the number is containing "+" as the prefix

for ex :

+659100xxxx

i created a translation rule but it only works if i dial directly 65910xxxx from the phone.

Anyone can help to solve this ?

Using CUCM 6.1 and AD

Thanks

Regards,

David

The translation pattern will interrupt the plus (+) character as a regular expression character if you do not escape it.

For the translation pattern to match, you must type \+659100xxxx

Re: Can't dial from Corporate Directory number contains +

Hi David, I tried to reproduce this problem on our 6.1 Environment, but not having the same issue even if the number contains a '+' as a prefix. Calls go through normally; and there is no translation pattern for it in our system.

Re: Can't dial from Corporate Directory number contains +

Support for E.164 dialling patterns containing the + character was a new feature introduced in CUCM 7.0.

If you want to use + in route patterns you will need to upgrade.

See line 3 in table 1 at the link below.

Re: Can't dial from Corporate Directory number contains +

I found something strange.

In our lab and productive environment, it works by adding \+

however at one of our client using CCM 6.1 when I try to add \+ on the translation pattern, it says warning error.

I can't remember excatly the message.. seem that

"Translation pattern only can contains character .[!/ ,etc"

Any clue for this ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Can't dial from Corporate Directory number contains +

I'm not even sure how you mention you were able to add it on a previous post. \ is not a valid character as noticed and also guides do not show it.

Compare the exact versions you're running.

Re: Can't dial from Corporate Directory number contains +

Hi,

I also not sure how it can work.

As you can see from the attachment(our productive).

Seems that it's ok with "\+" on our productive, but it doesn't work on our client.

Thanks
