can we change the .wav file format

Using ViewMail for Outlook. User syncs Outlook mail with PocketPC (Compaq i-paq). PocketPC can't play the .wav attachment unless it's PCM 8.000 kHz, 8 Bit, Mono. I believe the Unity .wav files are CCITT u-Law 8.000 kHz, 8 Bit, Mono. Any way to control/change this?

Unity 2.4.5

Norm Cook
Gibson Petroleum Company Limited

Re: can we change the .wav file format

You can change the default record format to a number of different things but I'm not sure if one of them will handle your devices.

Go to commserver\utilities\ and run the "setrecordformat" utility in there. You can select any of the codecs listed there. Let us know if you get it to fly...
