I have a customer in Canada with an Octel system connected to their Centrex service. My customer is moving to CallManager but this site is not targeted for some time. They would like to put Unity in at this location to replace the old Octel. The only information they can provide is that the externam modem on the connection is a General Datacom 2400 ASM. Does anyone know what this does or have recommendations about integration to Centrex services in Canada? Will a standard Dialogic board work with analog integration? They have 4-ports now on the Octel system.

General Datacom 2400 ASM is a 2400bps leased line asynchronous modem used for signaling data path between the system and the Octel. The voice path is through the 4 port analog.

I am assuming the General Datacom is the SMDI link based on what you have stated. Is this accurate?

Correct... most Centrex service is an SMDI data path.
