It seems I cannot work on Unity via my vpn connection. I am running windows xp (upgraded from win98) and using an xp vpn connection via pptp to my win2k network at the office. I can get logged into Unity if I start a remote desktop session from one of our servers on our network and it allows me to search for subscriber. However when I try to select the subscriber to make edits I get the following message "http://unity01/web/Common/Error.asp?Kind=BadCOS".
Can anyone help me with this? Is it because I am running pptp? I also have a firewall enabled on my machine that is using the vpn.
I had the same problem a few days ago. You have a DNS problem. In the link dont use the server name , use the IP-adrress and it runs proberly. You must change the Name to IP-Address manual. Another possibility is to edit the lmhosts file.
