CAR Login Failure

We are using CCM 3.3(2) SPA, Win2KSP4.

After installing the CAR on the Publisher, I try to logon using admin/admin - and get the followinng error:

(Note:The only language installed on the browser is English) We have another CCM 3.3(2) Publisher (Win2K SP3 with no CCM Service Pack - and surprisingly that works perfectly alright. I have tried un-install & reinstalling the CAR Tool, but the error persists! PLEAEASE help

Re: CAR Login Failure

Solution is the following:

a) Open the file C:\CiscoWebs\Tomcat\ntservice\wrapper.properties and add a

line:

"wrapper.class_path=$(wrapper.window_home)\winnt\java\lib\jtracing.jar"

just after

"wrapper.class_path=$(wrapper.window_home)\winnt\java\lib\DirUser.jar"

b) Do the same change in the file

C:\CiscoWebs\art\SchedulerService\wrapper.properties as well.

c) Restart ARTScheduler and ARTTomcat services.

Re: CAR Login Failure

I have tried those steps, and would like to bring out the following point:

1) The path in the file does not include \winnt\ in it.

Even after making those changes, the problem remains the same.

Re: CAR Login Failure

Try \w2k\ instead of \winnt\. Also, have you logged into CAR before? If yes, who did you assign as CAR admins. Once you assign someone as a CAR admin, the initial CAR login admin/admin is disabled and cannot be used again.

Re: CAR Login Failure

Hi David,

Changing \winnt\ to \w2k\ also does not work, probably because there is no folder as such.

I have not logged in to CAR before. This is the first time. Besides, I presume it will give a logon failure, if I re-login using admin/admin, and not an HTTP 500 error.

I have even tried using the wrapper.properties file, of a working CCM with similar configuration & version, that too, fails.

Re: CAR Login Failure

I am sorry. I meant \w2ks\. I just upgraded my ICS-7750 from CCM 3.1(3a) to 3.3(2) SPB and it has both \winnt\ and \w2ks\. Windows 2000 Server was originally installed into \w2ks\. I checked both folders are the same size. Hmmm????

Re: CAR Login Failure

After upgrading my ICS-7750, I get the same error. Actually, you will get this error you try an invalid username and password. I tried this with every CAR admin ID I could think of and a few non-existant username and password. Same error.
