Catalyst port security and IP telephony

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out a port security configuration that will work well in our IP telephony environment.

Months ago, our port security timers were set so that the "age time" was 1 minute. With this configuration, many users told us that once a minute or so, they would notice a very brief pause during their conversations. This wasn't acceptable, so we increased the age time to several hours. This eliminated the frequest pauses, but had the effect of making PC and phone moves port to port on the same switch difficult.

Has anyone experienced brief pauses in the voice stream with port security? If so, how did you rectify this?
