What is the CCM Server doing with an incomeng FAX from the GW to the ATA, normally the CCM is only for the call connect and disconnect, and the data should be established between the GW and the ATA to the FAX.
The problem was that the FAX was not working, on a incoming FAX call, the call could not be connected to the fax.
On the sending site you could hear that the fax machins are synchronising. After a couple of time the fax was disconnected.
After restarting the CCM the FAX was working fine again.
if your GW is mgcp based, then CCM is responsible for call setup which includes communicating with the GW and the ATA to create a connection between them to open a channel to begin RTP streaming.
the CCM does nothing with the FAX data per se, but does need to get the two endpoints communicating. once CCM has completed call setup between the endpoints and media channels are opened for communication, it then 'steps out' of the conversation as the two endpoints will now RTP stream between each other.
if your GW is h323 based, it does not require CCM for call setup/control, as h225/h245 will provide these services.

the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
